Shri Asheesh Pandey is a seasoned Banker with experience of more than 27 years. He started his career from erstwhile Corporation Bank. Prior to assuming the current position, he worked as an Executive Director of the Bank of Maharashtra and Chief General Manager of the Union Bank of India.

Shri Pandey has an experience of handling diverse portfolio ranging from Credit, Credit Monitoring, Treasury & Merchant Banking, Foreign Transactions & Joint Ventures, Marketing & Customer Relationships and Banking Operations. Being a Tech-Savvy banker, he has played a key role in successful digital banking transformation by adopting ideations and innovations. He has also played an important role in the re-engineering, harmonization, automation and digitization during amalgamation of e-Andhra Bank and e-Corporation Bank with Union Bank of India.

Shri Pandey is a Mechanical Engineer and also holds Post Graduation in Management with specialisation in Finance & Marketing. He is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management – Bangalore. He is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers. Shri Pandey has also completed Executive Program in Strategic Digital Marketing & Analytics - 2023 by IIM, Rohtak and Directors Development Program-2023 by Egon Zehnder in collaboration with Harvard Business Publishing. He has also completed Leadership Development Program for Senior Management of PSBs conducted by IIM Bangalore as well as program on IT & Cyber Security for Senior Management conducted by IDRBT, Hyderabad.

Shri Nitesh Ranjan is Executive Director of Union Bank of India since March 10, 2021. He is driving the Bank’s digital transformation and leading strategic initiatives for balance sheet optimization, customer experience, and people development. While steering business outcomes, he emphasizes on continuous strengthening of risk and compliance standards.

Associated with Union Bank of India since 2008, he has held key positions including Head of Treasury Operations & Strategy, Chief Investor Relations Officer, Chief Economist, and Regional Head. He began his career with the Food Corporation of India as a management trainee and later worked with Andhra Bank.

He is a member of the IBA Steering Committee on PSB Reforms. Previously, he served on the boards of NPCI, SUD Life Insurance Company, SWIFT India, SBI Global Factors Ltd, and FIMMDA, and was a founding member of the India Forex Committee (IFXC).

Shri Ranjan holds a postgraduate degree in Economics and has also completed the Leadership Development Programme of IIM Bangalore. He has also contributed to social initiatives, dedicating 100 days to Teach India’s Spoken English Programme for underprivileged youth.

Shri Ramasubramanian S. assumed office as Executive Director of Union Bank of India w.e.f. from November 21, 2022. Prior to joining Union Bank of India, he was Chief General Manager of Canara Bank. He has to his credit more than 25 years of rich experience in various facets of Banking like Corporate Credit, MSME/Retail Credit, International Credit and forex. He holds a Bachelor degree in Science along with CAIIB qualification.

Throughout his banking career, he has worked at different locations and branch categories including Prime Corporate Credit Wing, Large Corporate, Mid Corporate Branches and Hong Kong Branch of Canara Bank and administrative offices including Head Office.

He is one of the Top Executive Grade officers who underwent Leadership Development Strategy Program organized by Financial Services Institutions Bureau (erstwhile Banks Board Bureau). He is in the standing Committee for Corporate Credit of IBA. He is also nominated to participate in Kamath Committee on COVID related loan Restructuring.

He is well versed in operations and administration equally.

Prior to assuming the office as the Executive Director of Union Bank of India, Shri Amresh Prasad was the Chief General Manager of Punjab National Bank posted at Corporate office.

He has rich banking experience of over 32 years from branch banking, Zonal Offices to Head Office level, which includes Corporate Credit, Credit Review and Monitoring, Transaction Monitoring etc.

He is a graduate in Chemistry and Certified Associate from Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).

Shri Prasad has attended various training and Leadership Development Programs and has taken part in Leadership Development Program at SBIL Kolkata. He has also completed Aarohan 2023 FSIB Program conducted by Financial Services Institution.

Dr. Debasish Prusty has been nominated as Government Nominee Director on the Board of the Bank with effect from 13th May 2026.

He is a member of the Indian Administrative Service and now serving as the Additional Secretary in the Department of Financial Services in the Union Ministry of Finance in the Government of India. He has more than 26 years of experience in the designing and implementing polices in the realm of Public Finance, Sustainable Development, and Development Cooperation and Environmental and Urban Governance.

He had contributed to India's initiative for collaboration and partnership with various countries to launch the International Solar Alliance (ISA) platform in the year 2015 when he was the Director in the Climate change division of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in Government of India. In the international negotiations in the conference of parties held under the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC) he had represented India’s negotiating team. He was a member of the standing committee on Finance of the UNFCCC in 2016.

He has been conferred the Doctor of Philosophy from the Management Department of the Manipal University Jaipur and the Master of philosophy in Environmental sciences from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, India. Dr. Prusty is well trained from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the field of Finance for Macro-economists.

Shri Prakash Baliarsingh has been nominated as RBI Nominee Director on the Board of the Bank with effect from 14th July 2023.

Shri Prakash Baliarsingh was Chief General Manager of Department of Regulation, Reserve Bank of India. He was a career central banker and having rich experience of more than 3 decades with various Departments of Reserve Bank of India (majorly with Department of Supervision and Department of Regulation).

He has acted as Principal Inspecting Officer/Senior Supervisory Manager for leading commercial banks. He was also member of various committees/sub committees formed by the Reserve Bank of India related to Asset Quality Review (AQR) of banks, Risk Based Supervision as well as Supervisory Programme for Assessment of Risk and Capital (SPARC). He also represented Reserve Bank of India as a member in International Committees.

He is a Post Graduate in Political Science and also completed M.Sc. (Finance) from Oxford Brookes University, UK. He was also a recipient of Reserve Bank of India’s Golden Jubilee scholarship. He is a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers.

Smt. Priti Jay Rao has been re-elected as a Shareholder Director of the Bank and assumed office of the Director of the Bank on 29/07/2024 for another period of 3 years till 28/07/2027 and she is M.Sc. (Mathematics) from IIT Bombay with specialization in Computer Science. She is a passionate advocate of amplifying business value, leveraging Technology, Human Resources and Process Automation.

She has to her credit, 25 Years of diverse experience in building and delivering range of IT services for customers located across all the five continents. During her stint in various Companies, she played a pivotal role in supporting IT teams, delivering software services and managing large scale recruitment, training and assimilating large employee base.

She is inclined towards a leadership skill that requires both knowledge and vision of technology with the ability to envisage how technology might affect organizational dynamics to help organisations accelerate technology adoption.

She is the member of Board of Directors of Public and Private companies related to various aspects of technology services and products for last several years.

She is also actively engaged in various CSR activities with a mission and objective to provide financial assistance, special coaching, counselling, other requisite support to deserving bright young girls from disadvantaged background to enable them to grow into empowered, confident professionals with strong values.

Mr. Prakash Chandra Kandpal has been elected as a Shareholder Director of the Bank and assumed office of the Director of the Bank on 27/07/2024 for a period of 3 till 26/07/2027 years and he has extensive experience of over 36 years with State Bank of India and its subsidiaries. He retired as Deputy Managing Director (Retail business - Personal Banking and Real Estate) of SBI. Mr. Kandpal has held multiple leading responsibilities at SBI including MD & CEO of SBI General Insurance and ED&COO at SBI Funds Management Ltd. He has an in-depth expertise in Banking, HR, Operations, Insurance and Mutual funds space and has contributed immensely to the Banking and Financial Services Industry. He has led many renowned initiatives in HR, Training, IT, Business Process Re-engineering and Governance.

Mr. Kandpal has held positions as Nominee Director, SBI Foundation and PSB Alliance Ltd and believes in contributing back to the environment and society with strong governance in place.

He is currently serving on the Board of Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd., Nucleus Software Exports Ltd. HDFC Pension Management Company Ltd., Early salary Services Pvt Ltd and Social worth Technologies Pvt Ltd.

Mr. Kandpal has been honoured by prestigious awards such as Business Leader of the Year Award, in 2021 and the Company with Great Managers Award on behalf of SBI GI, in 2021 and secured the Brandon Hall Award in 2018 for SBI for his pathbreaking initiatives in Learning and Development at SBI to name a few.

Mr. Kandpal holds a M.A(Economics) degree from Kumaon University, Nainital and Masters in Financial Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, Mumbai. He also has multiple professional certifications such as an Executive MBA program (curated for SBI) from ISB Hyderabad, and Global Advance Management Program–AIIMA with Berkley University, USA.
